Alicia Harper, Founder, President Alicia Harper, Founder, President Alicia has obtained extensive knowledge through roughly ten years of experience in the realm of corporate management including, but not limited to: operational guidance, invoice and payroll maintenance, inventory and order processing, grassroots marketing, employee training and staff development, interpersonal communications, merchandising, and a maintaining a strict adherence to corporate standards. These workplace experiences, as well as her pursuit of a degree in Psychology/Early Childhood Education - Special Education, have provided her with the strong foundation necessary to offer a great leadership base to the Global Hydranencephaly Foundation.

While supporting her husband as he serves in the US Navy, Alicia also served in a volunteer capacity as an ombudsman in support of the families attached to a submarine command. During this 15 month appointment, she further gained experience in family support, advocacy, availability of international resources, and received training from the US Navy and NCIS in order to adhere to challenges faced in the areas of government security, terrorism, and confidentiality of information.

Currently, Alicia is a Paraeducator in a Developmental Preschool classroom that services children from 3-5 years of age of varying ability levels.

Their youngest child, Brayden Alexander, received a diagnosis of hydranencephaly at birth in 2008. Since that time, she has found a great passion in devoting her spare time to researching all realms of this condition while providing support and information through various support platforms. She is committed, and eager, to help this foundation fulfill its mission of assisting families across the globe, while also raising awareness of this rare neurological condition.

Holly Mansfield, Board of Directors, Vice President, Website Administrator Holly Mansfield, Board of Directors, Vice President, Website Administrator Holly has seven years in restaurant management experience and more than ten years of owning her own part-time respite care home. From this she has considerable business experience including management, inventory, adherence to laws/regulations, payroll, computer maintenance/programming, training, teaching, and client/vendor relations. Holly also has nearly twenty years experience working in human services with adults and children with developmental and physical delays. She also has a degree in web graphic design and continues to further her education and experience in this field. Holly's combined business, people, and design experience make her a valuable asset to the Global Hydranencephaly Foundation.

Holly is an adoptive parent to two special needs children. Her youngest child, Ethan was born in 2005. She brought him home at only a few weeks old unsure how extensive his hydrocephalus was. She found out when he was three months old that he had hydranencephaly. From her own experience of uncertainty, Holly is committed to helping others learn the correct facts about this disorder. She would like the world to know what amazing little blessings these children really are.

Jessica Zuchowski, Board of Directors, Secretary, Head of Marketing and Merchandising Jessica Zuchowski, Board of Directors, Secretary, Merchandising Jessica has several years of business experience, including restaurant management. She has an educational background in graphic design and has worked as a graphic designer for a newspaper. She has experience running a business including scheduling, reports, payroll, record keeping, preventative maintenance, keeping deadlines, client/vendor relations, and billing. She has been actively involved in the foundation since the earliest days doing graphic design work, creating the newsletter and volunteering on every committee. This background will serve her well as she takes on the role of Secretary. She looks forward to serving on the Board of Directors and her experience will make her a valuable part of our team.

Jessica is a military wife and mother of 3. Her husband is in the United States Air Force. Her son Damien is four years old and was diagnosed with hydranencephaly in April of 2009.

Jessica wants to raise awareness around the globe about hydranencephaly. She wants the world to know what true miracles these kids really are. She wants to help shatter the old views of hydranencephaly that paint a picture of dispair, and burdens. She wants everyone to know the truth of the joy and happiness these children bring to everyone around them, how they touch the hearts of everyone around them and how they teach us so much more than people realize.
